A delivery ceremony for vehicles procured for the China Road and Bridge Corporation’s (CRBC) Algeria railway project was held at the No. 1 Gate Plaza of FAW Group. Ninety-four Jiefang trucks departed, ready to travel to the construction site of CRBC’s 121-kilometer railway project in Algeria, contributing Chinese strength to the infrastructure construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. Yu Changxin, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of FAW Jiefang; Yang Xuesong, Vice General Manager of CRBC; Wang Yan, Vice General Manager of CCCC Materials; and Zhang Yaqing, General Manager of the Procurement Management Center of CCCC Second Highway Engineering Bureau, attended the event, which was presided over by Leng Changchun, General Manager and Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiefang International.
The 121-kilometer railway project in Algeria, undertaken by China Road and Bridge Corporation, is a landmark project under the Belt and Road Initiative jointly built by China and Algeria. It holds significant milestone importance for improving the railway network in eastern Algeria, driving industrial development along the route, and improving the local economy and people’s livelihoods.
Since the project’s launch in March 2025, a total of 338 vehicles of various types from FAW Jiefang have been procured. FAW Jiefang has consistently adhered to the philosophy of “creating value through quality, winning trust through sincerity, and deepening cooperation through reputation.” From initial business coordination and solution customization to mid-term production and supply assurance and quality control, and finally to post-project logistics and delivery support, FAW Jiefang has efficiently connected and complemented resources with its partners, fully demonstrating the powerful synergy of state-owned enterprises working together to overcome challenges.
▲ Yu Changxin’s speech
Yu Changxin stated that as the “eldest son of the national automobile industry,” FAW Jiefang has always adhered to its original aspiration of serving the country through industry and building a strong automotive nation, persisting in independent innovation and deeply cultivating industrial development. This batch delivery is a vivid example of FAW Jiefang’s deep cultivation of the “Belt and Road” market since signing a strategic cooperation agreement with China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) in 2019, and also carries the inheritance and sublimation of Sino-Algerian friendship. In the future, FAW Jiefang will continue to provide full-cycle operation and maintenance, comprehensive technical support, and full-chain after-sales guarantee, fully serving as a strong backing and reliable partner for project construction.
▲ Yang Xuesong delivers a speech
Yang Xuesong expressed his sincere gratitude and high recognition for FAW Jiefang’s strong support and precise delivery. He stated that FAW Jiefang’s products are of excellent quality, perfectly suited to the complex and harsh construction conditions of the region, including high temperatures, drought, and sandstorms. Furthermore, leveraging the Algerian parts consignment warehouse ensures rapid parts replenishment and timely maintenance, effectively addressing concerns about project operation and maintenance. Going forward, China Road & Bridge Corporation (CRBC) will deepen its strategic cooperation with FAW Jiefang through several key overseas projects, working together for mutual benefit in the global market.
▲ Wang Yan delivers a speech
Wang Yan stated that facing multiple challenges, including tight delivery schedules, a diverse range of vehicle models, and stringent quality standards, FAW Jiefang rose to the occasion, fully demonstrating the strong capabilities and sense of responsibility of a central state-owned enterprise. In the future, CCCC Materials will continue to deepen its procurement collaboration with FAW Jiefang, expand cooperation in areas such as overseas project vehicle supply and full-chain after-sales service, and jointly create a benchmark for strategic cooperation and overseas market expansion among central state-owned enterprises.
▲ Handing over the golden key
At the vehicle delivery ceremony, FAW Jiefang handed over a golden key, embodying trust, collaboration, and mutual benefit, to China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) and CCCC Materials.
During the event, attendees visited FAW Jiefang’s Powertrain Division Changchun Plant, gaining a deeper understanding of FAW Jiefang’s innovative achievements in intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment. They directly experienced the outstanding adaptability and reliability of “Made in China,” further strengthening their confidence in jointly expanding overseas.
This delivery not only deepens the project’s supply and demand collaboration but also represents a significant step in the joint overseas expansion of central state-owned enterprises and the implementation of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. In the future, FAW Jiefang will take this as a new starting point, continuously deepening strategic synergy, empowering global infrastructure construction with excellent products and high-quality services, and writing a new chapter in the high-quality development of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
